July 2006 - another award !
The"Lira Gillar" from swedish magazine Lira, may 2006.

  • "A nice cover isn't bad, and Paroplapi's cotton paper cover is really attractive, with pictures taken by the trio’s female singer in Provence and northern Italy, the areas where the group has found it's material. With the help of friends and children they perform folk songs, canzoni populari, of a medieval character with harmony singing and guitar in the centre, hand drums, mandolin, accordion, hurdy gurdy for accompaniment.
They have been ambitious in the studio – guitarist Giorgio Albiani plays both duet and trio with himself and Samuela Gallinari’s wonderful voice sometimes makes a whole choir with Gaël Princivalle. At the same time it feels genuinely musical, and I have no fear that they won’t assert themselves live – it must be permitted to gild a recording.
I get associations, although the music and the context are quite different, to my early life favourites Peter, Paul and Mary, and their way of singing as if it was for life. The finishing song, with lyrics from Dante’s Divina comedia, could be music for the most beautiful film ever made about the dry mountains north of the Ligurian sea."

June 2006 - Award from France !
The beautiful "TRAD'MAGAZINE" give us the "Bravo !!!" award.

  • "...Paroplapi has grain and ardour, each melody way drawn has direction and depth….Samuela and Gaël voices trace a very personal universe, without one being able to compare them with whoever. Subtle and inventive polyphony and play of hand drums punctuate the light rhythmic ornamentations which constitute the whole of songs that they propose. They sing as they breathe and one smells oneself like guest on their premises, with softness and energy, remains in the head this feeling to be comfortably accomodated… Paroplapi proves, as well is as it is still necessary, that the repertories resulting from heritage musics take part largely in the invention and the creation of today music..."
